Senior Consultant - Lean Transformation

A leading consulting firm specializing in lean transformations is searching for Senior Consultants due to business growth. The firm uses a system based on principles of the Toyota Production System (TPS). Manufacturing and Service companies come to this firm to lead their TPS/Lean conversion efforts. Through a series of rapid improvement events the client realizes quick and dramatic improvements in productivity, on time delivery, inventory, quality, safety and profits. The firm focuses on the financial gain/savings aspect of their work. It only makes sense if the client is saving or making more money



The position:

?The Senior Consultant is paired with the client?s site head and works the conversion through a series of ?blitzes? or rapid improvement events. Senior Consultants spend five days per month (usually one work week M-F)with a client.

?The Senior Consultant works with a Vice President to map out the transformation process/plan and then oversees and executes the implementation.

?The system uses Value Stream Mapping as a tool to map and track the process. The checklist system is easy to use and helps the Senior Consultant track numbers and behaviors.

?The Senior Consultant has 2-3 clients at a time and spends one week per month on site with each client. Travel requirement is 26 - 36 weeks/year.

?The relationship with the client usually lasts a few years or until the client becomes self-sufficient, at which point site visits taper off to quarterly and then yearly.

Requirements:

?Experience implementing a lean program while functioning in a senior management role (preferrably P&L role).

?P&L ownership in at least one role with 2 or more years of experience.

?Demonstrated success with significant quantitative results from implementing a lean program.
