Senior Consultant

 

A Senior Consultant has 3-10 years experience in either a corporation or consulting industry, (software analyst/developer, s e or manager).  They have demonstrated a proficiency in communication skills, requirements gathering, process facilitation and industry expertise.  These dynamic individuals have successfully deployed technology solutions for our clients? business needs.  They have a thorough understanding and appreciation for the full, process-oriented SDLC methodology, as well as Oakwood?s delivery methodology and estimating techniques..  These individuals have achieved an above average degree of skill, leadership, judgment and decision making.  They have taken a participative role in the development and growth of Oakwood?s business, extending their knowledge base and capacity by serving in varying roles within the organization and on the projects they are assigned. 

 

?  Expectations

? Solid contribution to all project work for clients (on-time project work with an eye toward the project budget)

? Meet with Counselee(s) to review their progress against an annual plan at least 2 times a year. Meet with Counselor at least 2 times a year to review progress again an annual plan.

? Active in requirements gathering and coordination

? Participate on internal projects to gain a greater understanding of Oakwood?s service offerings, sales and delivery approaches.

? Responsible for determining the functional requirements of complex systems and contribute to determining functional design, systems architecture and estimates.

? Have supervisory responsibilities occasionally and routine contact with mid-level client management.

? Participate in estimating projects as part of a sales pursuit

? Are called upon to take a more significant role in account development activities.

? Participate in promoting Oakwood to prospective applicants and in the recruiting process.

? Proactively pursue continuing educational opportunities independently and through industry events

?  Skill Set/Experience

? Demonstrated proficiency in being self-directed & resourceful when dealing with the client?s needs.

? Bachelor?s in Business, Computer Science or similar discipline

? At least 4 years of business related experience

? Adapts easily to changes in assignments and environments

? Demonstrated business development skills through identification of additional business opportunities while working at a client location

? Proven capabilities in at least one of our service areas, while stretching themselves by involvement in other areas

? Industry/technology certification a plus

? Excellent written and verbal communication skills including proposal creation

 

 

Manager

 

A Manager is a individual with a proficiency in managing client expectations, high visibility projects, and project teams.  They are adept in communication skills, requirements gathering, process facilitation and/or industry expertise.  A Manager demonstrates a strong sense of leadership, judgment, and decision-making competence.  These dynamic individuals successfully, and deliver technology solutions for our clients? business needs.  They have a demonstrated proficiency in team-building, mentoring and counseling.  They are active participants in the interviewing/hiring process and make suggestions for training the individuals on their team or counseling tree.  They are responsible for actively networking outside the Oakwood community to facilitate greater community awareness.  They take an active role in the sales process in their delivery specialization by working on proposals, presenting them to clients and facilitating in their creation and refinement.  They are deeply experienced in Oakwood?s delivery methodology and evangelize this process-oriented  methodology to clients and members of their team.

? Drive the solution delivery in Business Development and proposal creation usually to help craft the solution and estimate. Active in account planning and expansion of sales

? Manages all projects to be on-time and within the project budget

? Networks and recruits and contributes to the hiring process

? Expected to be role models for other consultants

? Team leader by placing team needs and recognition above own

? Ability to engage multiple clients simultaneously. 

? Act as a Counselor for a number of Consultants in helping them to define their goals both for their career, educational and project opportunities.  Meet with own Counselor 3 times a year.

? Lead or facilitate internal projects to gain a greater understanding of Oakwood?s service offerings, sales and delivery approaches.

? Responsible for a sales participation quota based on the company and branch goals for the year.

? Responsible for design specifications and systems solutions documents.

? Instrumental in facilitating meetings, negotiation skills, risk and issue identification/resolution with group consensus.

? Proactively pursue continuing educational opportunities independently and through industry events

? Ensures client satisfaction for entire team

?  Skill Set/Experience

? Bachelor?s in Business, Computer Science or similar discipline

? At least 7 years of business related experience

? Demonstrated proficiency in advising client and Oakwood management on technology and/or business issues with corresponding solutions.

? Proven capabilities in at least one of our service areas, while stretching themselves by involvement in other areas.

? Excellent written and verbal communication skills including proposal creation and presentation

? MBA a plus
