Navigant Consulting, Inc. has an opening for a Senior Consultant in the Real Estate Valuation area within our Corporate Finance practice, which will be based in Atlanta, Georgia. Our Corporate Finance professionals are part of a dedicated team of senior advisors who understand the shifting business market and fundamentals. Comprising restructuring, corporate finance and valuation practice areas, and professionals with accounting, investment banking and industry expertise, our Corporate Finance group is ideally situated to help companies respond to market influences, whether that be taking advantage of market opportunities or preserving the value of a struggling enterprise. Our diverse backgrounds in addition to our relationships with key industry players enhance our ability to quickly facilitate the evaluation and execution of strategic options that preserve and improve enterprise value.

Senior Consultants perform real estate valuation analyses of public and closely held entities as well as the analyses of tangible and intangible assets. Consultants will interact with company management through the due diligence process, assist with the development of forecasts, assist with the selection of applicable valuation multiples, and assist with the writing of, and documentation for, a narrative report.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Experience in purchase price allocation valuations for commercial real estate
- Experience in completing real estate appraisals
- Strong experience in Argus or DYNA
- Project work in a variety of commercial real estate engagements
- Conduct due diligence with clients
- Screen for and analyze comparable transactions
- Develop complex modeling in Excel
- Prepare client deliverables consisting of Excel models, Word and PowerPoint documents
- Assist with proper documentation and quality control of work product
- Participate in development of new approaches and methodologies

Job Experience:
Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience with real estate valuation engagements in a consulting environment or corporate real estate analyses within a real estate investment management group
- Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles
- Comfortable working with financial statements
- Possess solid understanding of Argus or DYNA software
- Possesses solid understanding of Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Possesses intermediate or above average research skills
- Able to balance multiple engagements with varying deadlines
- Able to generate a quality work product in a timely manner while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Undergraduate degree required, emphasis in Real Estate preferred. Progress towards achievement of General Certified Real Estate Appraiser or MAI designation is a plus
- MBA Preferred
