Senior Management Consultant - Supply Chain

Position Description

Multi-national management consulting firm specializing in supply chain and logistics currently employs 50 to 100 consultants in Europe, the United States and China.

 

The firm has an opening in its Northern New Jersey office for a Senior Management Consultant.  Under the general supervision of an officer or Principal, the Senior Management Consultant performs assignments involving analysis of distribution flows, organization, policies, methods, and results.  Assists in the preparation and presentation of proposals, gathers and analyzes facts, develops recommendations, and prepares and presents reports.  Has direct supervision of analysts and management consultants.

 

Qualifications

?  Masters Degree in business, logistics or related field

?  Mature in business environment

 

Experience

?  7 to 10 years in supply chain or logistics related roles

?  Management of analytical and problem solving projects

?  Time in a professional services/management consulting capacity

 

Responsibilities

?  Manage or participate in several concurrent supply chain management assignments (typical project is not full time but may last one to six months and is typically comprised of teams of 2 to 4 consultants)

-  Logistics network design ? number and location of stocking points

-  Transportation cost improvement

-  Warehousing and fulfillment operations and layouts

-  Manufacturing processes

-  Sourcing/procurement

?  Participate in the proposing and selling of management consulting services

?  Involved in the management of the office

-  Hiring and management of consulting staff to work on the projects being managed

-  Monitoring performance of staff

?  Contribute to setting the strategy and overall direction of the firm

 

Requirements

?  Travel 20 to 30 percent of time; primarily within the United States

?  United States citizen or immigrant visa
