Senior Manager-Supply Chain Consulting

Job Description: BearingPoint is seeking a Sr. Manager for its Supply Chain practice.

Location: Open (preferably near major hubs in East Coast and Mid West-Atlanta, Chicago, New York, DC)

Candidate should have large-scale project experience that involves any one or more of the following components:
. Supply Chain Strategy
. Supply Chain Planning
. Inventory Management
. Rapid Inventory, Delivery, and Cost Improvement
. Executive Presence In Fortune 500, preferably Fortune 100.

Industry experience in any of the following areas:
Auto, Industrial, Aerospace and Defense, Chemicals, Oil and Gas, Utilities, Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences

Knowledge of or direct experience with software applications related specifically to the above functional business areas is helpful. These software applications need not be components of a larger scale ERP package, but can be specialized focused "boutique" applications also. Specific experience with ERP package implementation is not critical. This is a management consulting role. Extensive systems integration experience is not critical, and usually not even helpful.

Responsibilities:
. Works as a part of as team to design and deliver consulting solutions related to supply chain strategy, supply chain planning and inventory management functions.
. Sell consulting solutions related to these areas.
. Understands key revenue levers to customers and cost drivers to core business processes, seeks solutions to reduce costs, increase revenue, and improve profitability
. Provide structured and creative analysis to identify business performance improvement opportunities and effectively communicate findings
. Understand critical success factors for the client and its industry
. Build long-term relationships with key clients
. Ability to lead significant workstreams of significant scope requiring cross functional integration
. Deliver timely and quality services meeting or exceeding expectations of team manager and client
. Support engagement planning and control processes, while performing work within cost targets
. Support major proposal efforts
. Identify additional client opportunities

Requirements:
. General management consulting experience with a preferred background in Change Management, Supply Chain Strategy, Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Management, Order Management, and Reengineering.
. Experience of 10-12 yrs
. Background with multiple projects, both selling and delivering services for improvement in inventory, cost, and delivery metrics
. Turnaround experience helpful
. Strong problem solving, analytical, and structured thinking skills
. Understands a business P&L, the business components and functions that contribute to it, and how to influence changes to it
. Ability to solve problems by applying frameworks and communicate implications for the client
. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
. BA/BS; MBA Required
. up to 75% travel weekly, depending on project location
