This Senior SQL Developer (also called Senior Consultant) is a part of FTI Consulting?s

most successful practice group, FLC - Technology Services. 

The Sr SQL Server Developer will have a key role in enhancing the functionality of the FTI Ringtail product line. 

 

PRIMARY DUTIES:

 Design and implement highly scalable, distributed, 24x7 multi-terabyte document management systems using SQL Server, ASP and dot-Net.Apply data modeling and database concepts to ensure data integrity, data reliability, data security and data accessibility for the Ringtail code base.Develop the appropriate security model(s) for application in the database environment and provides assistance in the routine data recovery and disaster recovery planning.Provide guidance to peers on database concepts.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

 Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable data architectures with SQL Server.Deep experience with partitioning, replication, multi-level security, failover, clustering, distributed transactions, federated & centralized technologies, data warehousing, OLTP, OLAP, XML, XSL, XSDExtensive experience with object design (OOD)Expert query performance analysis skills and ability to redesign for optimal efficiency.Expert knowledge of systems analysis and design skills and of system architecture/system integration.Highly skilled in problem determination and in pursuing technical solution.High attention to detail and organizational capability. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to adapt and change in a fast paced environment, and capable of meeting deadlines. Capacity to function effectively and professionally in teams, displaying high work ethics.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 B.S. Computer Science; M.S. preferred3 years of ASP, VB4 years SQL Server 2000 experienceSQL Server 2000 MCDBA preferred6 years SQL Server experienceAgile development methodology preferredFamiliarity with SQL Server 2005 preferred2 years dot-Net (VB, C#) preferredLitigation support and legal environment experience, a plus
