POSITION:     Server Administrator

Apx. Length of Assignment : 8+  months 

Start Date:  ASAP

 

Location:  Person will work in Tarrytown, New York

 

Duties:  Installing Microsoft  Windows OS, and supporting software such as Tivoli, TSM or designated backup software, Trend, Diskeeper, PDI, HFNetCheck (Security Patches), Remotely Anywhere, etc.Monitoring and verifying backups and proper operation of above listed software. Ordering hardware / software through our internal tracking system (HW/SW system).Receiving hardware, racking and cabling hardwareCompleting Hardware/Software system processInsuring Inventory Asset Center information is kept up to date.Applying Windows security patches in accordance with the Security Patch SOP.Working with customers on server problem resolutionsManaging print server to include SAP printingAfter hours / primary on call support for server issues at the Tarrytwon site.Break / fix resolution for all hardware and software supported Familiarity with SAP and Lotus NotesOn call for urgent problem resolutions after hoursPerformance of some pre-planned tasks during maintenance windows off-hours

 

Skill Set Requirements (Must Have)

1.  At least 3 years of relevant experience in Information Systems support roles, in server  support

 

2.  Familiarity with TrendMicro, SUS and LanDesk applications

3. Knowledge of DNS and network printer configurations (mainly for warehouse printing)

 

4.  Good ability to adapt and learn new skills with minimal transition time

5.  Good communication skills, work ethic and ability to meet agreed project timelines

6.  Excellent customer service and problem resolution techniques

7.  Extensive knowledge of software/hardware troubleshooting skills (desktop and server)
