Strategic Mine Planning Consultant

Our client is a global provider of mine production management solutions (MPMS) to the mining industry. Our clients solutions include a broad range of technical applications, which facilitate and support the management of all aspects of mine-site performance.

The company has formed a team of service specialists tasked with providing customers with top level support in implementing and optimizing their mining software solution. The Strategic Mine Planning Consultant will be an expert in their field, and will understand the mining process from ore to finished product. They will be someone who has worked in the field or in a corporate position today, but loves the idea of applying their years of mining knowledge in a faster-moving industry of the future - Software solutions.

Reporting to the Vice President of Services responsibilities will include:

" Responsibility for establishing and maintaining global implementation and training standards for Whittle.

" Maintaining good working relationships with our regional offices to support fulfillment of local customer requirements.

" Relay customer demand to sales and product development teams as appropriate.

" Recommend service offerings to enhance our clients portfolio of services.

" Determine product knowledge gaps and develop plans to upgrade our clients level of knowledge.

" Deliver training and project assistance as needed across the regions

" Develop and maintain a Strategic Mine Planning knowledge base for access by company service delivery staff.

Requirements & Skills:

" Applicants should have an appropriate mining graduate degree and ten years experience in the industry

" A high level of computer literacy

" Excellent English communication skills

" Experience working in a team environment

" Previous experience in mining software products, but a Whittle specialist.

" A working knowledge of Spanish or French will be regarded as an asset.

" Ability and willingness to travel internationally.
