Strategy Analyst

Aggregate Industries is an environmentally responsible producer of high quality, aggregate-based construction materials in the United States and United Kingdom.  Our company operates six regional businesses, along with our US Corporate office in Rockville, MD.  Due to our rapid expansion, we seek qualified candidates for our Strategy Analyst opportunity.

 

The Strategy Analyst will lead/support, structure and deliver integrated analyses based on strong external marketplace and operational/business understanding to guide strategic decisions that drive profitable growth for Aggregate Industries.  This position is a collaborative member of the Strategy team and reports directly to the Director of Strategy.  The position works closely with business units, with frequent interaction with the Regional Management Teams.

 

The key responsibilities and accountabilities for this position are:To act as an ongoing thought partner and provide strategic planning and decision-making support to Director of Strategy through rigorous, integrated analyses of external marketplace dynamics and internal/business profitability levers.  Assist Director of Strategy and with the development and execution of the Strategic Business process. Lead or participate in select strategic & operational projects for Aggregate Industries and work collaboratively with Strategy Group and business unit teams to ensure effective leverage of insights/analyses and gain alignment against strategic objectives to enhance profitability.

 

The successful candidate for this position will have a BS in a discipline relevant to the job description and 2-3 years of management consulting firm experience. Candidates must have knowledge, skills and abilities in the following areas:exceptional accounting and analytical expertise/skills; strong project management skills; strong communication and influence skills; ability to communicate at all levels, across multiple functions and drive participation and partnership; ability to simplify complex analysis that delivers comprehensive understanding; computer literacy; ability to create complex analysis using excel, word, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.; strategic orientation; ability to function as catalyst and resource for establishing strategic direction; initiative; ability to anticipate and prepare for specific opportunities or problems that may not be obvious to others; action oriented ability to create opportunities or avoid future problems; flexibility; and the ability to adapt to meet new requirements.  Experience in the construction or building materials industry preferred.
