As a Systems Engineer for this growing, stable technology company, you will be responsible for: Systems Engineering:work with PM's and other Engineers to design a wide variety of IT systems with the utmost emphasis on the clients' needs, resources, and expectations. Using collaboration with teammates and external resources, this position will generate customized, innovative, and efficient solutions that will deliver on project goals. Client Relations: interface with clients' personnel at all levels and tend to requests, queries, and comments made regarding company's multifaceted relationship with that client. A keen understanding of discretionary information and ability to handle that sensitive information is key to enhancing and expanding client relationships. Intellectual Contribution:at times to perform research and document findings on new technologies and products. Presentation of info. to teammates and colleagues will be required at times. Accurate and Responsible Billing: This position is required to keep accurate records of billable and non-billable time as required by project managers to provide educated estimates for future project costs. Required Skills:. A minimum of three (3) years experience as a consultant in the computer industry (preferably in systems integration) or minimum of five (5) years as a systems administrator or engineer in a multi office corporation focused around Microsoft technologies, with specific focus around some/all of the following:1. Microsoft Windows 2000 / 2003 Server 2.Microsoft Active Directory3. Microsoft Exchange 2000 / 2003 Server 4. Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Ability to work independently and participate in a team environment. General networking knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS and standard network protocols. Must have participated in multiple migrations and upgrades involving some or all of the above referenced technologies. Good communication skills (written and oral). High level of commitment to quality and customer service. Ability to generate, and desire to communicate, innovative ideas in a collaborative environment. Desired Skills: Experience with the following additional technologies: 1. Windows Terminal Services / Citrix MetaFrame2. Application Distribution / MSI Packaging3.
