TECHNICAL WRITER

POSITION SUMMARY

Assist in providing technical writing services to various development projects as a team member of Product Documentation. Assist in the continued development and rollout of technical writing standards and delivery mechanisms.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Assist in designing, drafting and editing technical end-user hard copy and electronic documentation, as well as on-line help. Translate technical information into a format that is easily interpreted by clients and end-users. Communicate with management, developers, designs, testers, and other appropriate individuals in order to produce draft and final copy. Manage multiple writing projects and production activities simultaneously while producing deliverables under deadline.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSProven writing experience using Microsoft Word 6.0/7.0 is required. Experience with VISIO, RoboHelp and Acrobat highly desirable. Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, related field, or equivalent experience. Must be capable of incorporating and combining written, verbal and electronic input from a variety of sources and produce clear, concise, written materials. Excellent written and oral communications skills.
