Technical Consultant / VB & .NET / Field Service Industry

We have an immediate need to find an individual with exceptional communication skills and client service savvy to work as a Technical Consultant in an exciting, customer interfacing role.  You will be a key member of our team, executing the successful implementation of our products.  Your ability to be flexible and adapt easily required, as the tasks and demands of this role will be varied, and will require working both as part of a team and at times independently.  Do you like to have a lot of balls in the air at once?  In this role you will be consulting to partners and customers in the use of our product suite, so you must be comfortable working on concurrent projects as needed.

Experience and Skills needed for success:B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent. At least 2 years experience working with Visual Basic. VB.NetExperience with Oracle, MS SQL-Server, and NT. Experience with development of Web-based business applications, using XML, ASP, and VBScript.Strong desire to work both in design and in 'hands-on' implementation modes in the delivery of ClickSoftware solutions. At least 2 years of hands-on experience with the implementation of enterprise commercial business applications.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Willingness to relocate to Boston. Extensive travel (1-3 weeks per month).

 

 

Responsibilities- What you will be doing:Work with the Technical Lead and/or Business Analyst to translate the customer requirements into a working solution.  This involves application configuration and some development.Provide technical support to the customer during the implementation phase.Assist with the installation of ClickSoftware products Assist customer with fine-tuning the application functionality and service optimization algorithms to meet customer?s business objectives.  Assist customer or third party integrator to develop interfaces to our products? APIs.  Provide technical training to the customer technical staff.Provide on-site support to customer during the testing and go-live phases to ensure a successful deployment.
