Technical Implementation-Professional Services Consulting

  DIMENSION & SCOPE: As a member of the Professional Services Implementation Team, your primary role will be to implement the Enterprise Effectiveness Business Intelligence Platform technologies (catTool, ETL, Data Warehouse, Cubes, Reports, and Portal) for Convergys customers.  You will have primary ownership of implementing the catTool (Contact Categorization Tool) and you will assist in designing and building Data Warehouses, Business Intelligence Cubes, and Reports. 

 



PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be responsible reviewing requirements and design documents for technical issues and ensuring that a sound architectural design is achieved.
You will have frequent interaction with Business Consultants, Requirement Analysts, Data Analysts, Product Engineers, Quality Assurance Testers, and Project Managers.
You may be called upon to provide technical direction and/or consulting with Professional Services management.
Responsible for technical implementation of the Enterprise Effectiveness Business Intelligence Platform (catTool, ETL, Data Warehouse, Cubes, Reports, and Portal)
Contributes to development of best practice standards and reusable IP for functional area
Identify product and platform enhancements to improve technical implementation efficiencies.
Perform other duties and tasks, as directed by manager, to support Implementation and Professional Services business.

 

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

BS in Computer Science or formal training in related field highly desirable.  In addition, report development/ metadata skills are valued (Microsoft SQL Server and Analysis Services experience is highly desired).

Required Technical Skills:

? 1+ years - Database (SQL Server or Oracle)

? 1+ years - Solid data warehouse and business intelligence experience (SQL Server & Oracle)

? 1+ years ? business intelligence report and dimensional cube development / metadata skills

? 1+ years - XML, HTML, CSS

 

Preferred Technical Skills:

? Microsoft Analysis Services and MDX

? Foreign data integration (SQL Server DTS, XSLT, ETL, SQL, SOAP)

? ASP, PHP, JavaScript, Java, PERL regular expressions

? Knowledge of email servers (POP/IMAP) and Chat Servers

? ODBC, IIS, DNS

 

PROFILE

Experienced working on a customer facing implementation team with a track record in understanding, building, and delivering technology to clients needs is a must.  Requires a consultative approach with good communication and organization skills.  Emphasis is on team player ability, not a lone coder. Must be able to travel to client site as needed.
