Job Description:
In this Technical Writing contract assignment you will develop software and hardware user guides, installation manuals, and online help systems. You will write, edit, and illustrate new and existing technical documentation for TAC software and hardware products. Interact with Engineering, Marketing, and other personnel to gather information needed for documentation assignments. Become familiar and comfortable working with building-control system technology, products, and terminology. Learn and work within established documentation standards, styles, and practices, and multi-task several different documentation projects.
Essential Skills:
The qualified candidate must be able to do the following:
? Work on a Microsoft Windows PC with Windows applications.
? Create and edit Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe InDesign, and MS Word files.
? Illustrate documents using Adobe Illustrator and other graphics tools, creating and editing drawings and importing them into FrameMaker or Word files.
? Capture screen images from software dialogs and import them into documents.
? Author and maintain HTML-based online help.
