First Vice President, Operational Risk Oversight Office

This position supports the ongoing operational risk oversight reviews of Bank risk management processes.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Identifying, assessing, measuring and monitoring the effectiveness of management?s operational risk assessment and control procedures, tools, systems and reports.
- Identifying key operational risk factors and areas within the Bank (or its vendor relationships) where risks occur and risk management identification and mitigation activities are taking place, with a focus on emerging risk profile changes.
- Ascertaining management?s ability to source, escalate and remediate risk issues.
- Providing consultative input about risk alternatives, while assuring that the responsibility to choose among risk alternatives remains vested in the business lines and business units.
- Staying abreast of significant changes in the Bank?s business environment and interpret the impact on the operational risk profile.
- Reviewing the effectiveness of management?s Sarbanes-Oxley related risk and control self-assessments, testing, reports and documentation intended to achieve compliance with regulatory requirements and PCAOB guidance.

A successful candidate will have:
- Solid overall knowledge of common banking products, services and processes, as well as of risk management practices including self-assessments and consumer regulatory requirements.
