Vice President, Strategic Planning and Analysis
Supporting the analytical needs of the Executive Vice President of Administration, the Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning, and the Bank Executive Committee, this position handles various responsibilities based on the immediate analytical/development needs of the current strategic priorities of the Bank and executive management. Key functions include participating in the Bank?s strategic plan development, presentation and measurement of implementation progress. Specific analyses may include competitive financial and product studies, vendor and product development evaluations, business development analysis, deposit and loan portfolio stratification analyses, and profitability scenario analyses. This position ensures compliance by adhering to all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and the Countrywide Bank's policies/procedures.
Requirements:
- College degree with a concentration on Business Management, Finance, Economics, Strategic Planning, Marketing, Management Systems, Statistics or a related. Coursework should include broad exposure to business subjects, including Accounting, Corporate Finance, Marketing, Strategic Management, and Business Law. MBA preferred.
- 5-10 years post undergraduate work experience in: commercial/retail/investment banking, financial services, corporate finance, strategy consulting, product development or consumer finance. Position(s) should have included data analysis, presentation compilation, and written report compilation.
- Knowledge of corporate financial statements and familiarity with bank call reports, bank earnings and balance sheet components.
- Quantitative and qualitative business research and analysis skills.
- Understanding of strategic consulting, finance, accounting and budgeting.
- Fluency of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, spreadsheet formatting, formulas, cell/spreadsheet auditing and quick navigation.
- Fluency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including using master sheets, standardized formatting, charts, tables, animation and quick navigation.
- Excellent communication skills, including experience in editing written documents for grammar, sentence structure, flow and ability to succinctly/completely communicate the subject matter.
- Understanding of and ability to analyze/summarize complex financial and business operations subjects.
