Job Description:

A strong VoIP Network Engineer with 5+ years of field experience with large-scale Cisco and Microsoft enterprise environments.

Candidate should be proficient with:

? Must have a Strong Knowledge of Cisco CallManager versions 3.2-4.0

? Must have a Strong Knowledge of Cisco Unity versions 3.1-4.0(4)

? Cisco Voice Gateways

? Securing VoIP servers

? Cisco Routers, Switches, and Firewalls

? Networking, TCP/IP

? Routing Protocols

? PSTN Provisioning

? Witness Voice Recording

? Cisco MeetingPlace

. The individual must understand the Cisco AVVID suite

The ideal candidate must be ability to bring up VoIP and Data at new locations under tight deadlines is required, along with working under limited supervision.

These positions require a balance of technical knowledge, organizational skill, and professional presentation. 

Experience with federal programs a plus.

At least five (5) years experience working on formally structured LAN/WAN projects

At least three (3) years experience working on formally structured Cisco VoIP projects. 

Candidate must be able to coordinate activities of other VoIP engineers. 

Candidate must posses a basic understanding of the engineering project lifecycle, experience executing tasks under strict project management and ability to effectively present technical solutions in both written and verbal format.

Must be thoroughly familiar with the architecture and implementation of modern TCP/IP networks with specific knowledge of VoIP, QoS, VPN Tunneling, VoIP Security, IP routing, IP traffic filtering (access lists), DNS, DHCP and the ability to understand Sniffer trace data.

Reports to the Manager of Network Engineering and will have close interactions with Program Management and Clients.

 

Requirements

? MUST HAVE experience in implementing secure measures within hosting architectures (e.g. firewalls, IDS, VPNs, OS Hardening, Anti-Virus, and Vulnerability Assessments for VoIP hardware.)

? MUST HAVE ability to work in fast paced environments

? MUST HAVE extensive knowledge with Cisco Routers & Switches

? MUST BE flexible and creative to adapt to environments where functional and business objectives evolve and change rapidly

? MUST HAVE impeccable interpersonal and communication skills. Strong customer service and written/verbal communication skills are essential.

? Should have BS and/or MS in CS or related field

? Cisco CCNP certification or Higher.

? MCSE 2000 or MCSE 2003 certification preferred

? MUST BE a United States citizen, clearable to Top Secret

? Extra consideration will be given to candidates that currently posses an active Secret clearance or higher
