Spectra is an innovative, growth-orientated market research company which provides manufacturers, retailers and brokers in the Fast Moving Consumer Packaged Goods (FMCPG) Industry with consumer segmentation, data integration and retail intelligence, enabling them to target high volume potential consumers. Required Skills:
Identify and address the needs of each assigned client, as they relate to Spectra products and services, in marketing, merchandising, advertising, market research, loyalty marketing, store operations, corporate brands, and real estate. Develop awareness of Spectra tools and the applicable analytics available to each area. Dedicate time remotely and on-site to each client each month to provide expert consultative advice, counsel, direction, training, and project work.
Some clients will be permanently assigned for the purpose of maximum penetration of business processes. A few clients will be temporarily assigned for the purpose of ?sampling? Spectra?s on-site services so as to sell in a permanent full time on-site.
? Ability to analyze syndicated data, understand complex concepts and develop custom analytics for retailers to meet their business needs.
? Understanding of the organizational structure and political climate at retail.
? Ability to function at an exceptional level, with great integrity, in a relatively remote environment.
? Passion for helping retailers to overcome their data and resource limitations to compete successfully in today?s retail environment.
? Ability to build and deliver excellent presentations with actionable recommendations that are relevant and meaningful to each retailer client.
Objectives:
? Apply best practices developed by the Retail Group and develop new best practice analytics to meet existing, and developing, client needs.
? Work with manufacturer client service to direct manufacturers in providing VNU analytics to the client, customized to meet the client?s business needs.
? Work with other VNU companies to deliver integrated business solutions.
? Negotiate and manage contracts for additional Spectra products and projects and negotiated contract renewals.
? Consult with all the different divisions at the client, including Category Management, Sales, Marketing, Customer Marketing, Market Research, Strategic Planning, Promotions, etc.
? Devise analytic approaches that leverage Spectra capabilities to interpret and dissect data to develop solutions, make recommendations, and create action plans
? Assess client needs through a Business Needs Assessment and deliver a plan to offer services over a three year time frame.
? Train and service the client?s employees on systems and applications through keystroke seminars and/or creation of training materials
? Fulfill ad hoc project requests from clients and manage project deadlines
? Provide the client and Spectra management with project tracking logs to help quantify return on investment
? Provide support necessary to ensure contract renewal
? Actively participate in internal meetings, training programs and committees
? Facilitate, coordinate and establish objectives for meetings with senior level Spectra and client management teams
? Provide follow-up communication from senior level meetings outlining new steps and future action plans
? Act as a role model and approachable resource for others in the Retail Group
Accountabilities:
? On-site experience at a retailer location successfully penetrating key client business processes with Spectra tools and services.
? Certification as a Spectra Retail Client Service Manager (2004).
? Store level experience or any other ( give me another word here) experience related to marketing and operations
? Four Year Bachelor?s degree. Master of Business Administration a plus.
? Solid Industry and/or Spectra on-site experience with CPG manufacturer required
? Experience with CPG data provider or consulting experience
