Assistant Product Manager

Progressive International Corporation, a mid-sized company specializing in products for the kitchen and home seeks an Assistant Product Manager.position Overview

Responsible for supporting initiatives and marketing activities for specific product lines.Essential Functions

????????????????? 1.????? Compile and maintain competitive retail market analysis including competitive SWOT analysis, retail pricing and promotional information that supports the new product development process.

????????????????? 2.????? Work in conjunction with the Director of Merchandising to support the product management responsibilities for assigned product lines including new product research, identification and development of new products, product line maintenance, changes, discontinuations, cost improvements and pricing strategies.

a)????????????? Initiate product design briefs outlining product concepts and costs.??

b)???????????? Identify market-sourced sku?s and work to secure cost quotes and ensure on ?time delivery.

c)????????????? Complete packaging design forms to provide the creative department with key product information used in the development of packaging, catalogs, etc.

d)???????????? Work closely with the purchasing department concerning product set-up, ordering, inventory and product quality issues, as well as related product information.
