Category Analyst
The Category Analyst analyzes various data to develop product category insights, and collaborates with customers and key account managers to deliver strategic and tactical solutions, grounded in category data, for building their business.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Account Sales Managers to understand category problems and opportunities in order to develop compelling recommendations. Build in-depth knowledge of categories and accounts while educating and developing Account Managers' category insights knowledge.
- Develop and present comprehensive category reviews for key customers to drive customer growth for Fellowes, improve leverage with the customer, and support disciplined account planning.
- Establish relationships and credibility with assigned customer(s) by consistently sharing actionable insights and responding to their needs with positive and effective communications.
- Build Fellowes' overall category insights capabilities by proposing and developing new analytical approaches and processes to improve effectiveness and support training for key sales personnel and business teams.
- Enhance data sources by working with customer teams to expand the data sets provided and ensuring that all data is accurate. Understand key consumer insights and implications.
Education
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.

Work Experience
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a category management or customer analytics role is required.
Skills
- Strong analytical skills in working with customer POS, syndicated data, and consumer research.
- Persuasive communication and presentation skills in a selling or sales support role.
- Strong computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Cognos, Powerplay and space management tools.
