Engineering Technician II

Cadd Technician will use AutoCad computer aided drafting programs, prepare preliminary through finished detalil designs/layouts, of building architectural, food process and packaging equipment, process flow and piping P&ID drawings and equipment lists in compliance with food processing procedures and standards. Travel to project site to gather data and supervise and inspect construction. The position will take basic input from project stakeholders in the development of drawings. Control documents through the development and maintenance of standards and as-built drawing archives. Provide porject support through the preparation and receipt of bid packages and quotes.Create and plot CADD drawings in support of engineering projects that include:
Architectural and building layout and detail drawings
Food process and packagining equipment layout and detail drawings. 3D drawings optional
process flow block diagrams
Process piping P&ID and isometric drawings
Utilities piping P&ID and isometric drawings.
Travel to project site to
Obtain and validate data to develop drawings
Oversee construction for adherence to standards and procedures.
Develop as-built drawings
Hold/participate with project meetings.
Maintain document controls by:
Managing drawing and project document archives.
Developing and maintaining drawing standards.
Support engineering efforts by:
Preparing equipment lists
Developing equipment and construction bid packages.
Obtain vendor quotes
Developing scopes of work.
Exercising oversight of outside contract CADD design work.
Evaluate latest CADD software and hardware developments keeping systems current
Will travel 30 - 50 % to the plants nationwide.Five plus years experience in the Food Industry (High purity, FDA, USDA, Sanitation design, CIP, 3A Standards) using AutoCAD computer aided drafting programs (CADD Software). Experience preparing preliminary through finished detail designs/layouts, of building architectural, food process and packaging equipment, processs flow and piping P&ID drawings and equipment lists in compliance with food processing procedures and standards. Ability to travel 30 - 50%.

Associates degree in; Drafting, Engineeing or Mechanical Technology, or Architectural Engineering.
