HR Manager

expression products. In the United States, our greetings cards

Gibson. Other domestic products include DesignWare party goods,
GuildHouse candles, and Learning Horizons educational products.

The HR Manager will provide HR generalist support to assigned business units and partner with HR functional areas (e.g., staffing, compensation, training, etc.) to ensure business HR needs are met. This individual will be responsible to proactively drive pro-human resource activities to support company and business unit goals and objectives. This person will need to successfully establish credibility and strong partnerships with business unit leaders and providing credible counsel; assisting with the development of highly effective organizational structures, approaches and processes to affect continual organization improvements. In addition, this person will need to maintain an ongoing understanding of business unit objectives and what can be done from an HR perspective to assist it in achieving its objectives.

In addition, the HR Manager/Consultant will be responsible to:

- Coordinate performance management process implementation and compensation planning, including forced ranking, for assigned business unit.

- Provide proactive and timely employee relations counsel to business unit partners and all staff.

Partner with business unit management to identify opportunities for the development of individual employees and teams. Coordinates implementation of professional development plans with our corporate career college, ImAGine University.

To qualify, the ideal candidate will have the following combination of education and experience:

- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years related HR Generalist experience in a corporate setting.
- Must possess strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills and have a consultative style.
- Strong experience in training, recruitment, employee relations and coaching.
- In addition, a Masters Degree and professional designations as PHR or SPHR a plus.
- Experience and or educational credentials in Industrial/Labor relations is a plus.
