INVENTORY PLANNER-STAMFORD

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Responsible for the daily processing of all inventory requirements for Retail/DTC and Wholesale.  Reviewing manufacturing costs and forecast levels to determine optimum medium to produce required DVDs.  Interact directly with our Fulfillment provider to resolve operational issues in the Call Center and Warehouse.  Lead Ad Hoc projects to support initiatives where our business partners require operational support.  Assist Operations Manager with daily operational issues

 

 

PRIMARY DUTIES

 

1. Manage the ordering and production of Inventory to meet consumer demand in a timely basis:

?  Coordinate master prioritization for creation of branded, generic, and specialty dvd items in both home video and digital formats.

?  Determine initial and reorder inventory for manufactured items, components, and purchased products and merchandise.

?  Work with Resolution, to initiate manufacturing schedules and generate product purchase orders.  Use inventory reports, backorder reports, and product sales statistics for each product line to maintain adequate inventory levels to support sales.  Keep inventory investment within established guidelines while providing high sales fill rates.

2. Develop Manufacturing Forecasts:

REQUIREMENTS

 

?  BA/BS in Business, Operations, Manufacturing, or Engineering

?  Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems, Just In Time practices, Material Requirements Planning processes, inventory management techniques, and financial planning processes. 

?  3 years in inventory management, Consumer Products or Retail operations

?  APICS Certification plus
