Manager of Quality Assurance

PetSmart headquarters (Store Support Group) in Phoenix, Arizona currently has an opening for a Manager of Quality Assurance. The Manager of Quality Assurance is responsible for all hard-good products testing and auditing functions as detailed in the PetSmart Corporate Brands Quality Assurance Requirements and Procedures.  Responsible for auditing manufacturing facilities. Interacts with the PetSmart Merchandising VPs, Merchandise Managers, Import Vendors, Brokers, Account Managers, and the consumer affairs.  Supports activities relating to new product development and packaging. Coordinate, organize, and lead product testing. Develops product-testing standards as necessary. This individual is also responsible for developing new product specifications. Reviews and addresses customer concerns regarding product quality and safety.

 

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, preferably in an engineering field, and two to five years related experience and/or training in product development and quality assurance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience with compliance with state and federal regulations on products and packaging is required.  CQA (Certified Quality Auditor) certification through ASQ must be achieved within first year of employment.
