Marketing/ Product Manager

IMAK Products Corporation is a small, fast growing company in San Diego. We design and market orthopedic soft goods and ergonomic wrist rests. Our strong growth has created a need for a marketing/product manager who is energetic, hands-on and organized, and wants to be part of an innovative and entrepreneurial environment.

We are looking for a talented, results-oriented marketing professional with at least 5 years experience with consumer products.


The Marketing Manager grows existing business and generates new business with retail chains (including mass, grocery, drug and office supply chains) and medical distributors through an innovative, ongoing marketing program. Reports to the Company president.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the Company?s strategic marketing plan including ?


? Growth in current markets
? Develop new markets

? Establish consistent branding throughout product lines and marketing materials
? Market research and competition analysis
? Pricing and product positioning
? Advertising, promotion, guerilla marketing and PR campaigns online and offline
??Conceptualize and oversee design of?packaging, sales materials, point of purchase displays and materials ? Manage the company?s website
? Plan and manage tradeshows?
? Involvement in all levels of new product development
? Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

- 4 year college degree ? or equivalent experience -- MBA desirable
- Self-motivated -- high energy, enthusiastic personality
- 5 years of demonstrated product marketing experience, at least 2 years in consumer
products marketing to food/ drug/ office chains/ mass merchandisers/ online
- Must be proficient in developing and executing marketing plans
- Experience in developing and executing advertising, promotional, guerilla marketing and PR campaigns
- Experience in online marketing
- Public relations expertise highly desirable
- Outstanding oral and written marketing communication skills
- Strong work ethic with the ability to listen and learn
- Perfectionist with strong analytic and problem solving skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Computer and Internet savvy a must
- Experience with small entrepreneurial company beneficial



This position is located in San Diego, CA. Relocation assistance is not available.
