National Sales Manager--Scrapbooking

Our client is a manufacturer of scrapbooking paper and supplies that sells its products to the various mass merchandise, craft specialty retail chains and independent scrapbooking stores located throughout the United States.  We are conducting a search for a National Sales Manager that will oversee all of the sales related functions for their scrapbooking division.  This position will be located in the Fairfield, CT corporate office.

 

Responsibilities for this position include:

 

--Executes the sales strategy and develops relationships with the key account buyers and management team.

--Generates and develops new business to meet sales goals.

--Functions as the liason between client companies and operations.

--Communicates information regarding company products and services to new and existing clients.

--Attends and participates in industry related trade shows.

--Has significant sales experience in selling to the independent scrapbooking stores.

--Leads and participates in strategic sales related meetings.

--Manage national sales representative groups.

--Interact with product development and marketing to make sure that customer requests are met.

--Prepare timely and accurate sales reports as required.

--Responds to all customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

 

Qualifications for this position include:

 

--Must have thorough knowledge of and five to seven years of experience of successful sales management in the scrapbooking and arts and crafts industries.

--Have demonstrated ability to make successful sales presentations to individual buyers or merchandise management group at all levels of an organization.

--Excellent problem solving and consultative sales skills.

--BA degree in Business or related field of study.

--Strong organizational skills, able to manage priorities and work flow, handling several projects on one time and be able to consistently meet deadlines.

--Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

--Proficient in use of MS Office.
