Packaging Engineer

Arbonne International sells skin care products based on botanical principles and offers a broad portfolio of Swiss formulated health and beauty care products including skin care, body and hair care, cosmetics, aromatherapy and nutritional products. As a member of the quality team the Packaging Engineer will provide hands-on direction regarding Arbonne?s packaging components specific, but not limited to: designing new packaging components and specifications; ensuring packaging components meet specified standards and specifications; and providing the necessary engineering drawings and specifications to purchasing.

 Primary Position Responsibilities:

 Create, develop and approve technical drawings for all components and packaging items.Establish component/package specs and resolve component/packaging related issues.Perform testing on: component/package compatibility, box design, and packaging component design (caps, pumps, bottles).Document changes made to current specifications and test procedures.Work closely with vendors on tooling issues such as part draft angles, parting line location, and gate location as well as taking into consideration the vendor?s request for changes to be made to ease the molding/shaping process. Negotiate terms and conditions.Other work as assigned by the Quality Control Engineer and his/her superiors.

 Qualifications

 Education

Requires BS Engineering and minimum 5-7 years design engineering experience. Must have experience with solid modeling software, Pro-Engineer a plus. Hands-on experience with packaging components, including plastic molds, blow molds, pump and cap components, as well as carton packaging preferred.
