Procurement Manager, Co Packer & Services

Bimbo Bakeries USA, Inc. (BBU) is the US subsidiary of Grupo Bimbo, which is one of the world?s largest producers of baked goods. In the United States, our major brands are Oroweat, Entenmann?s, Thomas, and Mrs. Baird?s, among others. We currently operate 16 plants in the in the western half of the US with annual sales of $1.2 Billion and 8,000 employees. We are currently looking for Procurement Manager, to manager our Co Packer & Services to join our staff located in Fort Worth, TX.

 

 Selected individual will be responsible for the following:

 

? Directing the strategic sourcing and procurement function for a major group of materials and/or services for BBU.

 

? Manage contract compliance, negotiates terms of contract in areas of responsibilities, while working closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations.

 

? Aggressively pursue cost savings through all means possible (leverage, reduction of vendor base, contractual term, strategic sourcing, etc), track and report as required.

 

? Identify potential sources, alternative sources, and conduct negotiations with respect to price, service levels, payment terms, and value improvement initiatives.

 

? Work with internal and external resources to reduce or avoid costs to the business.

 

? Work with vendor base to secure the most effective materials and/or services while maximizing the value added to BBU through the procurement process.

 

? Identify, communicate, and champion opportunities where value can be added to BBU through process changes, material changes, policy changes, etc.

 

? Manage relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure good, reliable sources of supply and information and compliance to BBU requirements.

 

? Maintain documentation of procurement activity and ensure that all business is conducted within the legal and ethical standards established by BBU and Grupo Bimbo.

 

? Works closely with Grupo Bimbo associates to achieve synergies to promote savings on global basis.

 

 

This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least 4-6 years of experience in Procurement.

 

Requires strong knowledge of baking industry with regard to third party manufacturers and process controls, and supplier certification, preferred. Appropriate job/industry related experience could be considered in lieu of a formal degree.

 

Proficiency with word-processing, spreadsheet, databases specifically Oracle.
