Quality Assurance-Technical Services Manager

Our client is a multi-billion dollar grocery and food products companies.

 

Title:     Quality Assurance & Technical Services Manager  (JH06129)

Reports to: Plant Manager

Location: ARKANSAS

 

Position Summary:

 

Recommends, develops and implements Plant Quality System to ensure process and product quality is consistent with the corporate objectives. Direct the daily operations of the Technical Services Function through quality leadership to uphold company policies, formulas, specifications and regulatory requirements.  Ensure that all finished product meets product quality as well as food safety standards.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Develop and maintain plant quality system in compliance with the Corporate Quality Policy. Leads the food safety, sanitation, technical services and laboratory functions on all shiftsMaintains a safe working environmentEnsures compliance to state, federal, and local regulationsAssures efficient and accurate testing, reporting, and monitoring of product safety and quality

?Develop and facilitate internal audits to determine to assess compliance to company policy and regulatory requirementsMaintains systems for checking and verifying process compliance, including but not limited to SPC, HACCP, Quality Systems, Formula Control to provide production departments with tools necessary for daily operationsLead development and implementation of plant GMP, Hygiene and Sanitation programs

?  Ensures effective food safety and quality training for plant team members and quality assurance staff.Advises the Plant Management Team on quality trends within the process and recommends appropriate corrective action.Prepares the annual operating budget for the Quality Assurance department.

?  Facilitates the development of analytical methods and sampling procedures as required.

? Advises the Plant Management Team on matters of quality, process instruction, formulas, specifications and protocol requirements as may be required to promote high product quality standard.

?  Develop and facilitate internal audits to determine satisfactory performance of packaging components and the practice of sound warehousing procedures as it affects product quality.

 

Competencies:

 The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of food plant quality assurance and operations management experience.  Candidate will have excellent team-building, leadership, communication, organizational, computer and analytical problem solving skills.Candidate will have strong background in managing plant sanitation programs Candidate will have a demonstrated history of effective leadership working closely with USDA. A B.S. in food science or related discipline such as chemistry, biology or microbiology is preferred.
