SAP Data Master

We are seeking an SAP Data Master.

 

Responsible for:
Daily administration of the SAP system to maintain Communication Papers' Material Master, Customer Master, and Pricing Master systems.
Implementation and enforcement of policies/procedures for set-up and changes to customer and material master data in these three key business systems.
Managing the "data integrity" of the SAP databases supporting Communication Papers' business processes.
Providing initial problem solving support to Planning, the Mills, and Customer Solutions on SAP data related issues impacting work flow of inventory replenishment, order entry, and invoicing processes. If unable to resolve, elevates to SAP Help Desk.

 

EDUCATION:

College Degree preferred.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Intermediate SAP knowledge is essential. Must be inquisitive and seek to expand knowledge of SAP system interactions.
Must be detail oriented.
Solid Excel skills required. Must also be capable of running queries in SAP or Access to support problem solving and data management activities.
Capable of logical, critical thinking to problem solve technical data related process issues. Must understand process flows in SAP and impact on action in one field on down stream processes.
Comfortable challenging others when asked to make systems changes that don't make sense.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage multiple time sensitive demands from "internal customer" groups.
Understanding of Communication Papers' business processes, customers, and products a plus, but not required.

 

REQUIREMENTS:
Solid understanding of SAP processes.
Experience working with "data base" systems.
Capable of setting priorities and working independently in a systems management role to support time sensitive business processes.
Accuracy and attention to detail aptitude required for data entry work.
