Key Responsibilities

This position is primarily responsible for increasing the in-store presence of the Scotts Company brands and maximizing sales within our major retail partners. Additional responsibilities include: providing store employee training, assistance with store sets, supervision of seasonal staff members, consumer counseling and other account and store assignments. The incumbent will build effective relationships with the home center stores, and will have detailed knowledge of seasonal product sales, will physically merchandise products on a routine basis, and will work independently in most instances. This position may require unusual work hours during in-season periods. Company vehicle provided for incumbents with a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.

Education

A college degree is strongly preferred.


Experience
Two years experience selling consumer products, inventory, and/or promotional displays to retail chain store and department managers.? Supervisory experience strongly preferred.


Knowledge/Requirements
Proven ability to communicate in English both verbal and written communication and presentation.

Excellent?presentation skills.

The ability to build effective relationships with store personnel.
Knowledge of?MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.?
The ability to work independently including?sound judgment, working efficiently and?strong business ethics.
Ability to lift, push and pull 60 lbs on a routine basis.
Ability to regularly travel overnight by automobile or airline.
Valid drivers license with?passing result on Motor Vehicle Check.

Ability to take and meet the minimum requirements of a drug screen.
