Senior Business Analyst, Market Planning

Position Objective:

Manage and provide demand forecasts on a customer basis in order to support profit plan. Ensure data integrity and forecast accuracy. Manage kit and sales aids forecast and inventory.  Assist Department Head in ensuring sales aids profitability; manage kit and sales aids obsolescence.

 

Specific Accountabilities ? Forecasting:Responsible for developing forecasts on an individual channel basis.Analyze monthly product performance reports, including units, sales, net per unit, costs and gross margin percent and dollars for both actuals and forecast periods to improve accuracy.Develop continuous improvements to processes to provide more accurate forecasts.Understand marketing program objectives and levers they push; translate to unit forecast.Oversee and participate in ongoing development and maintenance of forecasting system.Ensure proper product categorization; identify over- or under-performance of invitation flyer and contingency items; ensure data integrity.Review and/or prepare reports as required; ensure required information is summarized to meet customers? needs / requirements.Provide insights and analyses to assist Marketing / Merchandising in product launch and contingency decisions and effect on margin.Manage the business plan for marketing materials.Other duties as assigned.

 

Skills/Experience:Bachelor?s degree in Marketing, Business or Accounting.  Masters or MBA preferred.Statistical background, education or experience (two to three years).Experience in forecasting, demand planning, and/or supply chain management and operations.Strong problem solving, analytical and quantitative skills.Independent, creative and solution oriented with a sense of urgency.Strong project management skills.Ability to coordinate and manage several projects at the same timeStrong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.Proficient in MS Office Suite.Knowledge of Crystal Reports.
