To coordinate and facilitate a continuous replenishment of materials from supplier to manufacturing facilities to ensure production plans are fully supported for Diageo's items.

Implement inventory strategy for materials, collaborating with suppliers and production facilities. Develop mid-range plans for materials, linking long-range procurement goals with short-term production needs. Identify, mitigate, and report risks and opportunities to the overall supply of materials in North America.

Financial Responsibility:
Generate supply plans for materials that have an average value of approximately $200 million annually. Support production of 22 million cases per year ($500 million in annual sales) supplied from over 4 domestic production facilities, including 3rd party production.

Management Responsibility:
This role has no direct management responsibility, but must possess ability to influence key stakeholders both within and outside current department with respect to planning decisions.

Complexity of Role:
1.This role must understand why and when to challenge the validity of volume and/or inventory forecasts based on thorough historical and/or statistical analysis. Although the final decision may not be made by this role, their analysis will often be the key factor for making the recommended decision.
2.This role makes final revisions to multiple supply plans every month. These supply plans are used by stakeholders in many functional areas in making decisions regarding strategic sourcing, procurement, distribution network design, plant operations, operations finance, and inventory asset valuations.
3.This role requires the ability to analyze and manage data sources for 200 different materials. This role must be able to incorporate and organize inbound and outbound data streams.
4.Stakeholder Management - this role is a key link between Network Supply (finished goods planning), Procurement (material strategy and planning), Conversion (material release), and Suppliers (ability to support Diageo needs). This role must balance the requirements and constraints of each group and create a plan that supports everyone's needs.

Key Outputs/Deliverables:
Responsible to communicate with all production and supply points regarding overall supply of materials. Responsible to develop monthly rolling material supply plans communicated to suppliers, conversion, and procurement.
Responsible for monthly supply and material availability reporting.
Responsible for active participation in material start-ups and run-outs. Responsible to conduct extensive data and root cause analysis of multiple information streams. Responsible to identify risks and/or opportunities to the overall supply plan and execute necessary changes. Responsible to track material delivery performance.
Responsible to maintain consistent inventory management practices. Will be responsible for managing the planning activity for components. Build good relationship with the category managers in Procurement, schedulers in the plant and with the closure suppliers

Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Operations / Supply Chain Management preferred. 2+ years experience in operations and/or supply chain management. Strong knowledge of MRP and Knowledge of MPS and DRP methodology recommended.
Manufacturing and distribution / warehousing experience a plus.
APICS affiliation preferred.
Strong Manugistics knowledge a plus.
Excellent data management (spreadsheet) and query skills a must.
Ability to build strong relationships.

Qualifications
