Technical Support Specialist

SpeakerCraft, Inc., the leading manufacturer of architectural speakers for whole house audio, has an immediate opening for a Technical Support Specialist.  The position is responsible for the following duties:

 

? Handle all technical support inquiries (phone calls, faxes, e-mails, etc.) that arise from the use of all product lines;

 

? Communicate with programmers/engineering regarding issues;

 

? Provide dealers with system design assistance;

 

? Provide technical assistance to dealers/installers in the field;

 

? Keep up to date on all product, as well as industry trends; 

 

? Keep a log of all product complaints and tech support calls;

 

? Assist product training classes and assist in-house training of sales staff when necessary;

 Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Education and/or Experience:  

Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with two or more years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Custom Audio Video installation or design experience preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, diagrams or other regulations.  Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients or customers.Outstanding phone skills.Great interpersonal skills.Problem solving skillsComputer literate in Microsoft applications.Advanced technical knowledge of audio/video equipment.
