Job Description:

Mid-Level Unix/Solaris Systems Administrator

.This position reports to the Manager of Technical Support and Client Services

Responsibilities:

Routine server maintenance and trouble-shooting.

Deploying servers and expanding our service infrastructure.

Designing and deploying the security architecture.

Ensure servers scale with our business and are configured in a highly available manner.

Physical and logical tuning of OS and filesystem.

Write programs and/or scripts to automate daily tasks.

Participates in on-call rotation.

Internally driven to provide proactive and lasting solutions to routine server maintenance issues.

Required Skills:

Qualifications:

5+ years hands on UNIX/Solaris systems administration experience.

Experienced with security and networking (TCP/IP) concepts.

Proven programming and/or scripting (shell, python, perl etc) knowledge.

Proven analytical and trouble-shooting skills.

Comfortable working in a large scale server environment.

Excellent written communication skills.

Large scale storage (SAN, NAS) experience strongly desired.
