Vice President of Sales and Customer Development - CPG

Summary: Provide senior executive leadership role in growing consumer products company for professional sales team.  This role manages a team at various locations and has direct accountability for developing deep customer relationships with customers in the grocery, drug store, mass merchandiser and club sales channels throughout North America.

 
Major Responsibilities:
- Apply sales leadership techniques and leadership to team representing consumer brands to retail buyers across a variety of sales channels.

- Analyze industry, customer and marketing planning processes to ensure close relationships with customers that lead to increased sales and profitability for the organization.
- Develop and implement selling strategies that will uniquely position the company with customers and consumers
- Administer and provide leadership in developing trade marketing plans to drive sales and profitability by key account

- Provide positive employee relations support to client groups
- Champion opportunities for company-wide best practice sharing and standardization of processes including: selling, forecast management, marketing, trade marketing, etc.
- Provide leadership and support as a senior executive in the organization representing all disciplines and team members- Work with marketing leadership counterpart in developing effective, integrated and bottom-line driven customer and consumer programs
- Apply and implement local and corporate policies and practices, as required

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree
Minimum of 5-10 years management experience leading a sales team in FDMC channels in a VP role within the consumer products industry
Existing relationships in specified channels of business
