Warehouse Supervisor

Norcal Pottery, a Central Garden and Pet Company is looking for an experienced warehouse supervisor for their Houston, Texas Distribution Center. 

 

Responsibilities include:

?  First shift supervision of all areas of warehouse including but not limited to picking, shipping, stocking, receiving, packaging.

?  Oversee training of all 1st shift personnel

?  Responsible for planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

?  Monitor completion of assignments

?  Direct employees on handling and processing of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems.

?  Schedules work for special projects.

?  Assigns duties and examines work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.

?  Issues written and oral instructions

 

Qualifications:

?  1-3 Years Distribution Supervisory Experience

?  H.S. Diploma

?  Computer skills

?  Knowledge of AS400 a plus

?  Forklift Certification Required

?  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

?  Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred

?  Must be a positive team builder
