This position is responsible for performing desk reviews of appraisals of damage to vehicles using estimating applications (CCC or Mitchell experience preferred), auditing tools, and photographs. Primary activities include:

-Reviewing submitted claims for compliance with carrier policies and procedures

-Locating alternative parts where appropriate

-Negotiating with body shops car rental companies, and customers

-Completing total loss evaluations

-Negotiation of total loss claims

-Salvage vehicle handling

-Negotiating subrogation claims

-A minimum of one year within the Automotive industry

-Strong mechanical aptitude or knowledge of car repair

-A successful track record in customer service

-Strong negotiation skills

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Good computer skills -Word, Excel and automated estimating systems

-Body shop experience a plus
