 Business System Support Analyst  - Part Time 20 hours



Your key role in this department is to test, support and maintain the integrity of the Specialty Products Insurance applications, which includes our own mainframe systems, Proposal & Issue software with a primary focus on Internet. This position acts as a liaison between the Business (user) and IT areas of the company. We need YOU to work with cross-functional teams to develop and support quality, cost-effective systems and ensure that business needs are met. You will participate in and support systems development efforts by identifying user requirements to support new products and enhancements to all of the Specialty Products applications. Use your training and communication skills to advise end users or project workgroups on the correct and most efficient use of each application.  Help us provide training to the Specialty Products staff on system changes and troubleshoot system-related problems while participating in system enhancement projects.



Ideal candidate will have one to two years experience in Business Systems Support Analyst work or related field.Bring to the table your working knowledge of mainframe systems and advanced knowledge of the Internet, Web design, tools.  We need your ability to work both independently and with others as a team so your excellent written and oral communication skills will be key.  You will need to be detail oriented with track record of excellent organization skills and strong analytical and problem solving skills.  Show us your demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and work effectively in a dynamic, change oriented environment.  Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office applications such as Word and Excel.

 

Advantageous if candidate has:College degree or certificate program in Information Technology or related field. (Additional experience will be considered in lieu of college degree.) Prior project & Internet or Web Design experience helpful — including an understanding of project design, management and implementation methodologies including Method 1. Familiarity with technical terms/knowledge of systems development and user testing. Familiarity with Proposal software.
