CBS Sales Representative
Description: Handles residential customer calls for new or additional video, telephone, or high-speed internet services. Is expected to maximize revenue and achieve sales objectives by identifying and meeting customer needs. Works in a call center under close supervision. Is expected to take care of customer?s needs, questions, or problems, while at the same time educating them and promoting Cox services. Initiates appropriate action by other Cox departments, as required. Supports Level I Inside Sales representatives by taking complex customer calls and being a developmental resource. Performs various administrative and facilitative tasks in support of supervisors and managers in the inside sales function. Reports to a Call Center Sales Supervisor.
Works whenever scheduled; takes incoming calls as soon as possible after completing the previous call. Accesses customer databases or other electronic files and/or paper reference material to research routine account problems. Assesses customer?s needs. Describes and sells Cox services, sales, and promotions to customers and potential customers. Explains bills and Cox policies and procedures concerning prices, billing and service. Schedules installation of new service. Updates customer records and documents call, action taken, and any follow-up required. Assists other CSR?s and supervisors, as required. Conducts sales skills coaching of customer care sales representatives through on-the-job training and mentoring. Provides coverage on the lead line, taking complex calls from customer care representatives. Provides floor coverage, answers manager calls, and networks with other departments to troubleshoot system problems. Maintains and computes individual and team statistics for performance management standards and sales contests. Works with management and front-line employees in resolving customer issues. Provides input and suggestions related to process improvements.
Qualifications:
High school degree or GED equivalent preferred. Skill in using a Windows-based PC and sending/receiving e-mail. Keyboarding skills. Call center sales and customer service experience preferred. Experience in job requiring meeting sales goals preferred. Post-high school education a plus. Spanish proficiency desirable in some locations.
Ability to perform repetitive motions of the wrist, hands and fingers to use a PC keyboard. Near vision acuity required for extensive use of PC, calculator, and reference materials. Willingness to work flexible shifts. Ability to communicate by telephone. Ability to use a PC, calculator, fax, and other standard office machines. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to work in a climate controlled, air processed environment.
