Job Purpose
As a Senior Account Specialist for Commercial Distribution Finance (CDF), you will be responsible for providing high levels of quality service and exercising sound judgment and control in portfolio administration and customer program compliance within an assigned customer base. This position will be responsible for moderate risk and moderate complexity accounts within a pre-specified credit line.

Essential Functions

Ensure timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries, questions, documentation issues, billing errors, payment application errors, disputes, program changes, new sale requests and opportunities

Complete waives within designated waive authority

Monitor the assigned portfolio to minimize loss exposure by ensuring each assigned customer is in full compliance with their approved program

Recommend changes to the existing program where warranted; exceptions are corrected and/or brought to the attention of the Manager

Prepare and recommends wholesale over-line approval requests and submit to the Account Manager

Initiate and maintain follow-up to ensure all operating and action conditions placed on approved credit files are completed within established time frames

Maintain open communication and good working relationships with the Account Manager and fellow employees to ensure fulfillment of the business unit goals and objectives

Compile all information necessary to comply with business unit reporting in a timely and efficient manner

Assist in cross-training new team members

Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field (or a High School diploma or equivalent degree (GED) and 2 years of experience in credit assessment)

Working knowledge of accounts receivable collection practices and processes

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Basic knowledge of the Portfolio Control System

Ability to travel overnight
