Job Overview:
ATMI is seeking a Customer Service Representative that is responsible for interfacing with customers, company sales and/or service representatives to handle a variety of pre-sales or post-sales service functions. The ideal candidate will interface with ATMI's most important asset, our customers, in a courteous, professional and prompt manor; will be able to maintain a calm head under high pressure order situations which may be facilitated by our customers. The ideal candidate will also interface with the supply chain group, sales support, key account managers, and product development. You will be challenged to find solutions to issues/concerns, for our advanced technology customers, on a daily basis. The position is located in our Austin, Texas office and reports directly to the Manager of Customer Service. The role provides a great opportunity to become educated and proficient at ATMI systems and processes, many of which are utilized today in World Class companies. Primary Responsibilities:
? Primary interface with ATMI customers placing orders; answering questions, providing lead times and pricing and identifying potential problems before they occur.
? Data entry and accuracy of customer?s purchase orders into business software;
? Track Customer information (materials ordered and pricing);
? Process sales orders within 24 hours of receipt, adding order codes, and filing;
? Primary factory interface with Regional Sales, Inside Sales, and Key Account Sales for customer related order management functions;
? Primary interface with Planning group for order management issues;
? Obtain lead times and ship dates from Planning; negotiate expedites or changes in scheduling;
? Resolve PO discrepancies with Customers, Inside Sales, and Accounting;
? Become an expert in ATMI's products, Industry and Key Customer Service Support systems;
? Take, schedule, enter, balance, & track customer parts orders;
? Manage periodic part replacement schedules and shipments to customers;
? Maintain customer files and master database;
? Communicate with planning, production, and traffic regarding order status;
? Partner with Doc Control and Marketing to ensure correct P/N and pricing information are included in quotes, orders, and Price list;
Education/Experience:
? Associates or Bachelor Degree in General Education, Business or Communications;
? 3-5 years customer service experience with direct customer contact;
? Professional phone etiquette and excellent oral and written communication skills;
? Proficiency in Oracle Business Applications;
? Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access;
? Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment and work under pressure/meet deadlines;
? Semiconductor industry experience desired;
? Proficiency in Lotus Notes a plus;
? Ability to make decisions and solve problems;
