Call Center/Collections/Customer Service

A client located in Norridge, IL has an immediate position available for a Collections Representative.

Major Job Duties:
Provide for the timely collection of assigned delinquent accounts. Advise customers of their responsibility under the loan contract and counsel them regarding the budgeting of payments. Establish and maintain accurate records for the assigned group of accounts. Accept or reject late and/or irregular payments. Prepare periodic reports on delinquent loans. Handle inbound and outbound phone calls. Communicate regularly with mortgagors 60, 90, 120 days delinquent. Responsible for researching late charge accounts and soliciting late charge fees. Will respond to all correspondence, requests by phone, etc. in a timely manner. Maintain productivity goals within the required time. Must be able to understand investor guidelines and work independently.

Qualifications:
One or more years in collections Required OR at least 3 years in a call center environment where you had to achieve productivity goals. Ability to communicate effectively and to maintain good customer relations. Good mathematical, organizational and problem solving skills. Must remain professional at all times and possess the ability to show empathy while dealing with delinquent mortgagors. High school or equivalent diploma required. College degree a plus. Bi-lingual / Spanish a plus.

Hours: 10:00 AM ? 7:00 PM Monday through Friday with a one-hour lunch. There is no variance from these hours allowed!

Assignment: This is a long term temporary position.
