Claims Representative

May conduct investigation on assigned cases regarding equipment coverage issues, ownership issues and value concerns.

Claims Reps average 5 new assignments per day and have an average pending of 35-45 open assignments. Selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in a positive and motivated environment.

Qualifications:
Under moderate supervision in a branch office or after hours operation, responsible for obtaining information and maintaining essential information in order to process routine accident cases. May conduct investigation on assigned cases with six weeks or less of disability. Frequently exercises initiative and independent judgement and solves problems of limited scope and complexity. Must demonstrate a proficient understanding and use of basic policy/contract coverages and be able to recognize questionable coverage/contract situations which necessitate supervisory involvement. Good oral and telephone communication skills as well as typing skills required. High school diploma plus 1-3 years of related customer service experience or applicable insurance knowledge. Licensing required in some states.
