Client Services Account Specialist

We have an exciting career opportunity available in our Columbia, MD office for a Client Services Account Specialist.

The purpose of this position is to aid in the retention, growth and development of assigned multi-market and coast to coast accounts through daily client interaction and account management.

Primary Position Responsibilities:
1. Responsible to be a full business partners with the Sales organization. To determine and execute programs in alignment with the marketing strategy document for the region.
Presentation coordination
Support Microtargeting initiatives (ADVO programs)
Lead Gold Seal execution
Determine profile recommendations
Coordinate and facilitate graphics/print requirements

2. Responsible to develop and maintain opens communication with various levels/contacts in clients' organization and provides on going feedback to Sales and Management.
Attend scheduled client sales meetings
Provide accurate and timely recommendations to client requests
Be established primary contact for clients

3. Responsible for on going client contact to continually educate clients on ADVO and the direct mail industry, including the communication of new products, promotions, market, industry and competitive data.
Perform in store manager communications and training (ADVO education)
Maintain base of ADVO knowledge on ADVO products, services, programs to optimize client awareness and selling opportunities

4. Responsible for account management activities, including problem resolution, coordination of multi market
Distributions and profile management.
Resolve billing issues, trial balance, etc.
Order entry, order modification
Production and printer coordination
Daily client contact (copy shortages, profile changes, delivery issues, etc.)
Communication and Internal negotiation

5. Provide forecast information to all functions for the purpose of improved planning and revenue, volume, and profitability projections.

Knowledge & minimum qualifications required for the position:
Capable of acquiring a thorough knowledge of internal workings of ADVO.
Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Working knowledge of market, industry and client information.
Detail oriented creative thinking and innovative decision making.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent work experience.
