Collection Analyst

Purpose of the Position: Responsible for collection of delinquent commercial accounts, reconciliation of payments, collection efforts and regular reporting of progress made. Work closely with the Sales and Customer Service departments. Must be able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with management, peers and coworkers.
Essential Functions:
Heavy phone contact with customers to bring resolution to delinquent accounts; expectation of 50-75 daily calls.
Responsible for specific payment codes in assigned area.
Works with sales to determine customer service solutions.
Organizational Relationships: Reports directly to the Collections Supervisor.
Qualifications:
College degree or experience equivalent preferred.
Commercial collection experience preferred.
Good telephone communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and AS/400.
