Collections (Medical Bad Debt)

Position Description: A collections firm is looking for medical collectors. As a collector you will handle accounts from all clients and make 85-100 calls per day. You will be calling insurance companies to verify coverage, rebill the insurance company when needed, apply payments and complete adjustments to the account, call debtors, request and review credit reports. There will be research required as in looking in Cole's Directory for the nearest neighbor and looking in Super Pages for a correct address. There will some contact with attorneys. You will handle daily correspondence from debtors and settle any disputes they may have.
