Collections Representative- Late/Back End

CITY: Irvine STATE: California COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
As a member of the Retail Sales Finance organization at GE Consumer Finance in Irvine, CA the Collections Representative (Late/Back End) makes contact with customers regarding past due accounts, answer any questions about their accounts and collect past due balance, while representing the company in a positive light, and abiding by all company policies and all state and federal law.

Additional Responsibilities include:
Make Outbound telephone collections on consumer and/or business past due credit accounts. Meet/exceed goals for daily outbound calls and minimum number of payments received. Manage a queue of 200+ accounts ranging from 25-120 days past due.
Receive Inbound calls on consumer and/or business credit accounts. Primary responsibility is to determine reason for delinquency and negotiate payment arrangements by effectively listening and communicating with past due borrowers.
Assist customers with various methods of payment.
Manual queue collections effectively within monthly targets
Locate customers by investigating all possible sources of information
Input on-line memos as appropriate per customer
Determine when account maintenance is warranted and make appropriate entries.
Adhere to established standards for productivity and quality. Adhere to established Compliance guidelines.
Perform other related Collection activities as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications/Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of successful experience in Secured Collections which includes:
- Skip tracing activities
- Repossession experience
- Queue management
Must be proficient with keyboard and 10-key
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (on phones) and demonstrated high level of customer service skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate and manage through conflict
Demonstrated superior customer service skills and commitment to quality excellence
Excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to effectively give and receive constructive feedback
Superior time management skills and ability to meet standards (productivity and quality) in high demand environment
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks Absolute professional integrity

Desired:
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Collections experience in credit & banking especially in RV/Marine industry
Telemarketing experience
Previous Davox experience
GE/GE Consumer Finance Experience
Strong PC skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access)
College degree

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7am-7pm; Saturday 7am-11am. Night and Weekend hours are required. Must be able to work overtime and work schedules as defined by Company. This is a very fast paced office environment.
