Commercial Processor
This position is on the Commercial Services Catalyst Conversion Team (CCT). The CCT supports our Commercial policy conversion to the PCIO platform. The composition and requirements of the CCT offer unique opportunities for advancement throughout the project's life.

JOB SUMMARY:
Processes basic new business, changes and renewals for assigned commercial and/or specialty lines products. May rate new business. Reviews and corrects validity errors.
RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to Supervisor/Manager. No Direct Reports.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Reviews and processes assigned commercial and/or specialty lines risks in accordance with established procedures and best practices.
2. Performs necessary rating and coding for quotes, new business, renewals and policy changes. Reviews submitted materials for completeness and accuracy; follows up with agent, underwriting and/or policyholder/applicant for missing/inaccurate information.
3. Handles agent and policyholder correspondence and other related paperwork.
4. Maintains working knowledge of state-specific processing procedures and processing systems, pricing guidelines and eligibility and team concepts.
5. Maintains and utilizes coding manuals/materials needed to determine appropriate premium calculations and policy master file revisions.
6. Maintains a consistent quality and quantity of work at prescribed standards. Identifies and prioritizes own work according to prescribed standards. Reviews and corrects validity errors for assigned production.
7. Recognizes premium refunds situations.
8. Maintains accurate production reports. Performs quality checks per guidelines.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High school diploma; prefer some post-high school coursework.
Experience: One year related work experience, preferably in a service-oriented or processing support function.
Knowledge: General knowledge of insurance policies and practices; prefer familiarity with commercial processing, services or support services. Understanding of interrelationship between the various service center departments.
Skills/Competencies: Oral and written communication skills to interact with agents, policyholders, managers, third parties, other departments and team members. Ability to operate a personal computer and related processing systems, calculator and other business equipment. Ability to pass applicable data entry/typing tests. Ability to prioritize work; ability to review computer output, system-related problems and other error conditions, and to review and correct all processing errors.

JOB CONDITIONS:
Overtime Eligibility: Eligible (non-exempt)
Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Extended hours sitting/keying at PC. Ability to work overtime and flexible hours as needed for deadlines and phone coverage. Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds on a regular basis.
