Coordinator - Special Initiatives
Description
The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) is in the process of relocating a substantial portion of its business to Durham, NC. Join us in our new facility as the Special Initiatives Coordinator on our Service Center Operations (SCO) Team, and help us grow.
The Special Initiatives Coordinator is responsible for ad hoc departmental duties, motivational initiatives, report generation, and cross-functional team communication.The SCO Team serves to support the needs of members and customers along with AICPA-wide business initiatives. SCO is responsible for nearly 700K member inquiries and transactions annually and represents the business area with the most direct interaction with AICPA members.
ResponsibilitiesServe as cross-functional team liaison; Assist in the management of multiple team projects; Plan and organize motivational initiatives; Generate and maintain departmental reporting for Managers and Senior Managers; Analyze and determine where controls are needed for a better audit trail of operational processes within SCO and cross functional areas; Serve as SCO management representative in inter-departmental planning/coordination meetings; Perform ad hoc administrative responsibilities; Facilitate process improvement analysis/documentation by working directly with other members of the SCO management team and general AICPA management; Create SCO business plans, project plans, and progress monitoring/reporting tools for business initiatives; Ensure staff is supported with communications and feedback mechanisms to ensure successful dissemination of information required for positive daily performance.
RequirementsProject Management experience; Experience on cross-functional initiatives; Advanced level knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Knowledge of Visio and Project preferred; Experience in planning and organizing events; Experience in facilitating meetings and process design sessions; Ability to handle multiple projects; Superior time management and organizational skills; Exceptional writing and researching skills; Overall strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; Superior problem-solving skills.
